I CAN DANCE THEATRE PRODUCTIONS

THEATRE PERMFORMANCE

The two-person professional dance group, I Can Dance, are enchanting primary school children throughout Victoria with their latest production BELIEVING. Their fresh and original mix of dance, music and song explores issues of confidence and acceptance, relevant to kids from Prep through to Year 6. The story teaches that if you believe in yourself, you can do anything. Participation is encouraged, as the issues of bullying, cultural diversity and gender, are explored.

Registered teachers, Maria Longo-Kielty and Miriam White, chose theatre as an engaging format to inspire self-confidence in children and celebrate diversity (cultural, social, and personal) whilst maintaining relevance to curriculum framework. BELIEVING is a complete success in meeting these aims!

As a complete theatrical experience, the mobile theatre set, colourful costumes and backdrops are a visual feast. The dance repertoire is extensive, ranging from cowgirl tap to multi-cultural to hip-hop.

Beyond this production, I Can Dance, offer workshops in theatre and dance.
