MEYER EIDELSON

Author, Naturalist & Bush Tucker Man

For over fifteen years, Meyer has been been enthralling students with unique activities and adventures inside and outside of schools. His goal is to turn all children into mad and passionate writers and naturalists.

Meyer’s five books (including Secret’s of the Seaside Suburbs, The Melbourne Dreaming & Alfreda the City Penguin) explore the wildlife and Aboriginal history of Melbourne. A well known activist, he campaigned successfully to create a sanctuary for St Kilda’s penguin colony.

At schools he gives illustrated and lively talks on a variety of topics including Aboriginal culture (featuring the local school area), wildlife rescue and conservation, as well as discussing his books. Meyer brings Aboriginal tools, bush tucker plants, wildlife and fossils, and also provides bush tucker and wildlife walks within the school grounds.

Feedback:
