Jacqi Deighan is the founder of NATURAL
KITCHEN STRATEGIES and has many years experience working
with young children and in the hospitality industry, particularly
as a chef in the corporate sector.
She successfully ran her own caterin business and has a Diploma
of Applied Science in Hospitality Studies and an Associate
Diploma in Child Care. Jacqi, a mother of three, and a passionate
believer in the importance of natural food, has spent many
years researching children's health and experimenting with
healthy cuisine, recipe conversion and ways to tempt children's
jaded palates.
Jacqi has appeared on television and has been quoted many
times in the press with her innovative ideas for children's
health.

Let's Talk About Real Food
Prep - Grade 6
This classroom session aims to get even young children thinking
about what they put in their bodies and how it can affect
the way they feel. It includes lots of interaction, a classroom
experiment and tast testing!

Optimise Your Brain Power for Study
Yrs 7-12
This interactive session looks at the realities of caffeine
and alcohol intake, the problems with huge sugar consumption,
and why eating refined foods can affect one's ability to concentrate.
It then focuses on the food that can really optimise study
potential, how eating well sharpens memory and invigorates
mind and body to develop well-being and a stronger sense of
self.
Teacher Education Forum
The aim of the forum is to create an understanding in teachers
of the importance of health promotion in schools and what
they can do to encourage healthier choices in their students.
It addresses canteen issues, fundraising, celebrations, students
rewards and teachers as role models.
Community and Parent Talks
These talks can be customised to suit individual requirments
and can cover topics such as nutrition and the healthy school
lunchbox, the merits of a healthy breakfast as an aid to learning,
babies' first foods and feeding ou
