INSPIRATIONAL SURVIVOR / AUTHOR

Christine Durham is an informative, entertaining and inspiring keynote speaker with the ability to move an audience, encouraging them to identify the personal issues of coping with change. Her message is grounded in the belief that "happiness doesn't depend upon who you are or what you have: it depends solely upon what you think" (Dale Carnegie) and that amazing things are possible through determination and effort.

Christine has an interesting story to tell. She uses experiences gained from recovery following a serious car accident to open up powerful issues of change/trauma: loss of self, love, hate, revenge, grief, honesty, pretending, relationships, mourning, forgiveness, communicating, fighting and accepting.

Christine's book, CHASING IDEAS (Finch) has compiled a treasure trove of techniques and tips to help parents with the delightful process of encouraging children's curiosity about the world. It urges parents and teachers to see how discussing ideas with their children can be an enjoyable and creative activity for everyone.

Feedback from presentations to executive management groups shows her message strongly influences a re-assessment of change: "If she's coped with that, I can deal with my issues!"

As well as school audiences, Christine's clients have included organisations undergoing change, rehabilitation / physical and emotional trauma specialists, writers' groups, individuals / self-help groups and open meetings at libraries / book clubs.
