The first thing Meredith Badger ever wanted to be was an author and illustrator. Well actually, the very first thing she wanted to be was a tight-rope walker but she quickly realised that writing was more interesting and far less dangerous.

Now she is a published author, with 13 books under her belt and more on the way. Her books are sold around the world and some of them have even been translated into Portuguese. Meredith has written 8 titles for the much loved, best-selling Go Girl! series, including Puppy Love and Truth or Dare.

Meredith is also a close, personal friend of the mysterious H.I. Larry – author of the popular spy series: Zac Power. She is under oath never to reveal his secret identity, but is authorised to speak about his gadgets and can provide little-known insights into Zac’s interesting life and how his adventures make it to the page.

Other books written by Meredith include the humorous Fairy School Dropout trilogy, which tells the story of Elly, the terrible fairy. Elly always forgets to charge her wand and would much rather ride her skateboard than fly. In 2008 Meredith illustrated her first picture book – an Australian re-telling of Cinderella with a ringtail possum in the lead role.

Forthcoming Books
In 2009 Meredith will be launching two exciting new series – Go Girl “Besties” (a three-book series co-written with Chrissie Perry) and “Tweenie Genie.” Tweenie Genie is about Poppy – a girl who always thought she was completely ordinary, until she discovers on her twelfth birthday that she’s actually a genie. |

School Sessions
Meredith’s school sessions are interactive and hands on. Exercises including drama warm ups, quizzes and role-plays. The students help Meredith to ‘create a character’ or ‘invent a Zac Power style gadget’. They also help her to finish plotting out a story. And of course, there is always time for questions and readings. |
