JULIE DAVEY

AUTHOR / ILLUSTRATOR
& MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER

 

Born in Melbourne, Australia, Julie Davey grew up in Box Hill and is an Author, Illustrator, Public Speaker and trained nurse. She now lives on the Mornington Peninsula and her interests include sailing, animal welfare, yoga, meditation, telling jokes and eating chocolate but, of course, not all at one.

Julie trained in July/August 2001 in California with Jack Canfield, America's foremost presenter of self esteem and peak performance seminars. Touring Victoria, NSW and QLD in 2002 to present personal development talks to students, teachers and parents, Julie also visited Singapore in 2003 to promote A FOR ATTITUDE.

Julie co-founded B4 Foundation Inc. in 2003, primarily to assist children in the transition from Primary to Secondary school. Co-created I CAN DAY which is celebrated each year in May and aims to encourage people of all ages to focus on what they "Can do" rather than what they think they "Can't"

Julie has been interviewed for television and radio programs and for major newspaper and magazine articles in Australia and Singapore. She has written articles for magazines and has presented:

- The A FOR ATTITUDE personal development program to thousdans of children in primary schools in Victoria
- POSITIVE THINKING FOR HEALTH talks to hundreds of Probus club members & business women
- Full day TEN STEPS TO SUCCESS workshops to teachers, parents and various members of the community
- Motivational talks in bookshops in Australia and Singapore
- Book readings in libraries

 

A FOR ATTITUDE Author visits to schools, Julie encourages students to:
- focus on their strengths
- believe in themselves
- make positive choices and
- set their own meaningful and achieveable goals

PRESENTATION TO 5/6 STUDENTS, stories and activites about:
- accepting ourselves and others
- the limiting things we tell ourselves
- how we become what we think about
- boomerang energy
- tuning into intuition

PRESENTATIONS FOR PARENTS AND TEACHERS, tips and general discussion including:
- eliminating negative limiting beliefs
- basic strengths for accelerating learning
- simple stress busters
- achieving balance
- the power of words
