Carol
Jones was born in Brisbane but has lived in Melbourne
for most of her life. She has been a secondary
English teacher and a childrens magazine
editor and publisher.

Her
most well-known works for young adults is her
trilogy of novels Real Girls,
Sibs and Goddess
of Cool, which celebrate escapades of the
politically incorrect (but totally cool) Bimbettes.
These novels have been described as "deliciously
funny" (The Sunday Age) and "young adult
fiction of the highest order" (Magpies).

Other
titles include girlfriendboyfriend,
,Just a Truckers Luck
and Postcards From Hawaii,
and for younger readers, Going
De Loco. She is also the author of three
secondary English texts and four primary maths
texts.

Carol
offers talks for any age group about her work
in general or on a specific topic. She can run
workshops on writing fiction, writing non-fiction
in an interesting way, or the process of writing
and editing magazines.
